Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy’s, is known for his entrepreneurial success and dedication to education. After dropping out of high school, he opened the first Wendy’s in Columbus, Ohio. At 61, he returned to school to earn his GED, wanting to be a positive role model and challenge stereotypes about dropouts.
